Adaptation of the novel of the same name by Orson Scott Card. The action takes place in 2135. Humanity miraculously survived two invasions by the alien race of the Jukers, who clearly have no intention of stopping there. In order not to lose the next battle, a military school is created, where the most talented children are sent. Among them is the main character Andrew (Ender) Wiggin, the future commander of Earth's international fleet. Read more The shooting of this film could have started in the late 80s. It was in 1985 that the book itself was written, its author was Orson Scott Card. The production of the film version was suspended by the author himself, for whom it was very important to transfer the plot of the book to the screen in detail. And when the studios said that they agreed to shoot the film only according to their own script, the author refused to sell the rights. The next time there was talk of a film adaptation in 1998, and in 2003, the project began to be actively promoted. It was then that the first work on the script began, and Wolfgang Petersen was to be the director. Four years later, the script of "Ender's Game" was rewritten once again. In both cases, this was done with the cooperation of Orson Scott Card himself. The author himself explained his categorical position by the fact that for him, as an author, it was very important to transfer the very perception of the world of Ender, the main character. Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley and Asa Butterfield were invited to perform. The latter, despite his young age, has already managed to play in several big projects, including Martin Scorsese's "Time Keeper" (2011).
