Dora writes letters for the illiterate at the Central Station of Rio de Janeiro. In the stories she heard and recorded, Brazil appears - unknown and magical. A true panorama of the life of a traveling population is emerging, which is trying to maintain ties with its homeland and its past. One of Dora's clients is Ana, who asks her to write a letter to her husband. Ana came with her son, Josue, a nine-year-old boy who dreams of meeting his father, whom he has never seen. Leaving the station, Ana gets hit by a car and Josue remains an orphan. Dora takes the boy to her and becomes attached to him. They go deep into Brazil in search of his dad. While traveling, despite the huge difference in age and views on the world around them, they get closer and closer. An exciting journey to the heart of Brazil in search of a missing dad, a journey that stirs emotions in the hearts of every character in the film.
