Oblivion
After decades of war with an alien civilization, humanity managed to win the battle, but the consequences turned out to be catastrophic - the surface of the Earth becomes unsuitable for life. Now people live above the clouds, but some of them continue to make forays down, where, despite the landscapes changed beyond recognition, there are still many useful things to be found. Legacy", the sequel to the cult sci-fi movie "Tron" (1982), Joseph Kosinski presents his next fantastic picture. This time the events will be more realistic. Initially, the Disney studio was interested in the project, but later it was bought by Universal, whose bosses were very impressed by the script drafts. In addition to Joseph, William Monahan and Carla Gajdusek also worked on the script. William Monahan had already managed to work on such successful films as "The Renegades" (2006) and "Kingdom of Heaven" (2005). And recently he was one of the script editors and worked on the plot of the sequel to "Sin City", directed by Robert Rodriguez. Taking into account that Joseph Kosinski worked on advertising and various computer videos before the shooting of the film, it did not occur to him to be smart about the success of "Oblivion". The fact that Kosinski also took part in the creation of the third part of the game franchise "Halo" is especially important, in which there is not a similar plot, but a vision of the situation. In addition to the film, work was also underway on the creation of a graphic novel of the same name. Not a comic, but a novel, which indicates the seriousness and global nature of the plot.
