Read more After the success of the series of tapes based on the Marvel comic universe, as well as the success of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Warner Bros. it was decided not to stop at the Dark Knight. The Man of Steel project was put into production in 2008. After the failure of the tape "The Return of Superman", it was decided to restart the story about the super-strong native of the planet Krypton. As usual in cases with work on comic projects, David S. Goyer was invited as the lead screenwriter. Before that, he was just working on the script for Nolan's Batman trilogy. It was Goyer who was the author of the idea of restarting the story of Superman, which was offered to Christopher Nolan, who was impressed by Goyer's vision and took on the production of "Man of Steel". To the director's chair by the studio Warner Bros. several candidates were considered, among them were Darren Aronofsky, Duncan Jones, Ben Affleck, Tony Scott. But still, it was decided to focus on the personality of Zack Snyder, who had already managed to shoot "Keepers" (2009), the screen adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel. Unlike The Guardians, the story of the rise of Superman will have a lower rating, namely PG-13. If "Man of Steel" does well at the box office, studio Warner Bros. will later put into production several solo tapes of the DC comic universe, and later, perhaps, a separate film "Justice League", which will unite Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and others.
