Neil McCauley is the leader of a gang of robbers, consisting of several of his friends. Bandits manage to plan and carry out an attack on an armored car, stealing over one and a half million dollars in securities. Things get complicated when a new member of the gang named Vaingro kills one of the guards and the gang has to kill the others as witnesses. The case is entrusted to the lieutenant of the elite police department, Vincent Hanna.
