High in the Alps, on the Great St. Bernard pass, there is a monastery whose monks breed dogs. One day, a boy Georg arrives here, who finds his best friend here - a little puppy Barry. But the dog turns out to be the weakest in the litter, so his upbringing turns into a real adventure. Difficulties do not scare the boy, so later this puppy will grow up to be a legendary rescue dog, which will be known all over the world.
