The events of the film take place shortly before the Chilean coup of 1973. CIA agents Chris and Lee are tasked by their bureau chief, MJ, to travel from Santiago to Easter Island. Amidst the island's iconic statues, longtime partners grapple with their dark pasts and present-day conspiracies, while Chris's unexpected connection with a pair of rebellious female students threatens to ruin this heavenly trip for all involved.
