Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, a new terrorist leader, Bane, arrives in Gotham, bringing chaos and destruction with him. The police are no longer able to deal with the rebellion, which forces the former hero of Gotham, Batman, who took on the crimes of Harvey Dent and disappeared without a trace, to put on his mask again.
