Summer, 1990. Three friends find millions of devalued GDR marks in an abandoned mine. Maren, Robert and Volker develop a cunning plan to exchange "dead" money, challenging the new capitalist order. Their adventure, balancing between friendship and the temptation of wealth, turns a quiet town into the epicenter of the biggest financial prank of a reunified Germany.
