The Silent Hour

A Boston police detective lost his hearing after an accident on the job. He is transferred to work in another department, where he has to serve until retirement. Somehow, the hero's former partner tries to save an important witness to the murder, who is being hunted by criminals. Since the girl is deaf, the only person who can communicate with her is a hearing-impaired detective.
