Kate Cooper is a former tornado chaser. She is haunted by flashbacks from her past about a disastrous encounter with a tornado while in college. Now Kate lives in New York in complete safety and studies tornado models only on computer monitors. Somehow her friend Javi lures the girl back to the open plains to test a revolutionary new tornado tracking system. There, Kate meets Tyler Owens, a charming and reckless social media superstar. Together with his restless team, Tyler shows followers the adventures of tornado hunters. And the more dangerous the chase, the better. As tornado season intensifies, terrifying phenomena appear that have never been seen before. Caught in the path of several storm systems bearing down on central Oklahoma, Kate, Tyler and their crews are forced to fight for their lives.
