The reboot of the cult horror film about Freddy Krueger, a serial killer wearing a hat and with four blades on his glove. He kills children in their dreams, and those who were killed in their dreams die in reality... Read more Freddy Krueger returns in the film "A Nightmare on Elm Street", a modern remake of the cult horror film. A group of teenagers from the suburbs is haunted by the same nightmare: in their dreams, a terrible, disfigured killer - Freddy Krueger - is stalking them. They can protect each other in waking life, but in a dream - they are left alone with a living nightmare, and the chances of being saved are rapidly approaching zero... after all, killed in a dream, they also die in waking life. The felt hat, red-and-green striped sweater and bladed glove were worn this time by Oscar® nominee Jackie Earle Hale ("How Small Children," "Keepers"). The director of the film (for the first time in his creative career) was the winner of awards for music and commercials, Samuel Bayer (clips of groups Nirvana, Green Day). This is his debut on the big screen. The teenagers whose dreams are invaded by Freddy Krueger are played by young actors, including Kyle Gollner ("Haunted Connecticut"), Katie Cassidy ("Hostage", TV series "Supernatural"), Rune Mara ("Urban Legends 3: Bloody Mary"), Thomas Dekker ("Terminator: Battle for the future") and Kelan Lutz ("Twilight", "The Twilight Saga: New moons"). The cast also included veteran cinematographer Clancy Brown ("The Shawshank Redemption") and Conna Britton ("In the Rays of Fame"). "A Nightmare on Elm Street" was created based on the characters developed by Wes Craven in his super successful horror film of 1984. A sequel was made to the film, which turned it into one of the longest, most successful and relevant franchises in the horror genre, which has already spawned seven sequels. Now, twenty-five years later, a modern version of Fredda Kruger's first story is being published. Samuel Bayer directed "A Nightmare on Elm Street" based on a script by Wesley Stryk ("Cape Fear," "Wolf") and Eric Heisserer. The film was produced by the Platinum Dunes company Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, whose company has already reaped the fruits of the success of remakes of several franchises in the horror genre, such as "Friday the 13th", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Amityville Horror". The executive producers of the film were Bob Shaye, Michael Lynn and Mike Drake ("The Fatal Number 23", "Nine Yards"), and John Rickard was the co-producer. The crew included director of photography Jeff Cutter ("Second Chance", "Child of Darkness"), production designer Patrick Lamb ("Operation "Valkyrie", "Omen"), editor Glen Scantlebury ("Transformers", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), costume designer Marie-Anne Seo ("Friday the 13th", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning"), visual supervisor effects director Sean Fayden ("Amityville Horror") and special effects coordinator John Mylynak ("Friday the 13th", "Amityville Horror"). Studio "Warner Brothers Pictures" together with "New Line Cinema" present the film "Nightmare on Vyazov Street". The film will be released worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment.
