Chuck decides to reconnect with his son, but learns that the boy has blocked him on all social networks. Worried about the life of his offspring, the father creates a fake account and starts communicating under the guise of a young waitress. Rounding out the comedy duo is James Morosini, known for his roles in American Horror Story and Criminal Minds. He is also the screenwriter and director of the film. This is his second full-length work after the movie Threesome in 2018. The picture "I love my dad" is based on the real story of the director's relationship with his father. The world premiere of the film took place at the American film festival South by Southwest (SXSW), where the film won the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize.
