2013 year. Mykola, a pacifist eccentric, conducts an environmental experiment. Together with his pregnant wife Nastya, he lives in a self-dug hole on recently acquired land near Horlivka, in Donetsk region. The couple renounces the harmful benefits of civilization, seeking to prove to humanity that living in harmony with nature in the 21st century is possible. Despite everyday difficulties, the family of eccentrics feels happy and believes in the value and success of their experiment. Mykola's naive world is destroyed with the beginning of the war in Donbas. He feels powerless in front of an imminent threat - Mykola's inner world turns upside down... Militants kill his pregnant wife and burn his Nora to the ground. Finding no justification for this cruelty, he makes a fateful decision and joins the ranks of snipers. The eccentric mathematician is mocked, but later, thanks to his stubbornness, he proves that he is still worth reckoning with. The amount of support amounted to 23 million 946 thousand 572 UAH. (80% of the total cost of film production). The director of the tape is Maryan Bushan, the scriptwriters are Maryan Bushan and Mykola Voronin. This is a story about a pacifist eco-settler from Horlivka who wants to live in peace and harmony with nature, but war is coming to Donbas. The main character with a keen sense of justice, he does not want to put up with lawlessness and becomes a volunteer Ukrainian sniper. Filming took place in the fall of 2020 at the International Center of NSU in Kyiv region. Military personnel and military equipment of the International Center and the Northern Operational Territorial Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine took part in the filming, and about a hundred Guardsmen and about two dozen pieces of equipment joined the mass scenes.
