Three strangers come to Emond's Meadow: the gray-haired minstrel Tom Merrilyn, the beautiful Lady Moraine and her guard Lan. Moraine belongs to the organization "Aes Sedai" and believes that the forces of darkness are hunting five teenagers, one of whom is the reincarnation of an ancient powerful personality. According to the prophecy, when she returns to the world, she will save humanity by harming it.
