The Pirates of the Devil's Dozen kidnap the children and vow revenge on Jim and Lucas for defeating the dragon Ms. Fang. To protect Medlandia from another threat, the friends, together with their steam engines Emma and Molly, go on a dangerous journey, where they meet old friends: Princess Li Si, Mr. Tur-Tur and the dragon Nepomuk, and also meet a real mermaid. During their adventure, Jim's wish may come true: to learn the truth about his mysterious origin.
