In the cartoon "DC League of Super Lovers", the super dog Krypto and Superman are friends who are not good friends. They have the same superpowers and stand side by side against crime in Metropolis. One day, pagans kidnap Superman and the rest of the Justice League. Now it's up to Krypto to convince the scrappy yard gang - Ace the Hound, Pee-Bee the pot-bellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel - to harness their newly acquired superpowers and help save the superheroes.
