Having quarreled with her father after the death of her mother, Sarah tries to start an independent life and finds what she thinks is the perfect apartment in one of the small residential complexes of Los Angeles. Her new neighbors are all completely friendly, nice people who throw parties together and take care of each other. But Sarah can't sleep well at night because of the strange noises, and soon she learns something very unpleasant about her neighbors.
