Sam is drawn by strange forces to a mysterious island off the coast of Britain. There he finds himself involved in the lives of local residents. Cut off from the rest of the world, they live according to their own rituals that make the hero remember a trauma from the deep past. As the line between reality and fiction begins to blur, Sam realizes that his life is in danger.
