A tragicomedy that penetrates into the depths of human relationships and characters. The man closes the lid of the old piano, finishes his whiskey, collects the money earned for the day and buys a one-way ticket to Knights Ridge - a remote town in the state of Massachusetts where he grew up. His father lives there, who misses his dead wife, his idle brother lives there, his friends from school live there - some are married and have children, and some still wander around the neighborhood. There, in the house next door, lives a small but very intelligent girl whom he will see for the first time. The bar and beauty salon become a favorite place to discuss problems that arise between men and women. True love and the bitterness of betrayal, male friendship and female loyalty are intricately intertwined in the destinies of the heroes, changing the usual way of life.
