The story of American soldiers fighting a force of 400 enemy insurgents in northeastern Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Originally built to involve local residents in community development projects, the Keating combat outpost – located at the bottom of three steep mountains, just 20 kilometers from the Pakistan border – has faced the constant challenge of Taliban attacks, posing significant risks to the soldiers stationed there.
