Captain John Miller receives a difficult task. Together with a squad of eight men, Miller must go behind enemy lines in search of private James Ryan, whose three brothers died almost simultaneously on the battlefield. The command made the decision to demobilize Ryan and send him to his homeland to his inconsolable mother. But in order to find and save the soldier, the tiny squad will have to go through all the circles of hell.
