January 5, 1895. The French intelligence captain Alfred Dreyfus was accused of one of the most dangerous crimes - treason and espionage for Germany. Almost no one questions the Dreyfus case except his former mentor, Georges Picard. The man decided to find out for himself what was happening by conducting his own investigation. He is sure of the innocence of his former subordinate, and to prove it he needs to find a mysterious "secret folder". But there are people who don't want the truth to come out, and they will stop Picard from revealing the truth. Even under such circumstances, the officer will be able to reach the people thanks to his connections with Emile Zola.
