When an eleven-year-old boy is brutally murdered, the investigators first suspect the coach of the local baseball team, Terry Maitland, as a lot of circumstantial evidence points to his involvement in this crime. But in the course of the investigation, encountering very strange things, they unexpectedly begin to think about the intervention of otherworldly forces.
