1762, Russian Empire. As a result of a palace coup, Catherine II comes to power, displacing her husband Peter III. The official favorite of the empress, Prince Grigoriy Orlov, not without whose help she got the throne, and whose brother holds the post of minister, considers his position at the court quite stable, but until Catherine is presented with Grigory Potemkin.
