Sarah is a French astronaut who is preparing for a very important mission at the European Space Agency near the German city of Cologne. Every day she is faced with grueling training, which not every person can handle, many would not last even a day. Sarah is the only woman in this tough program. But the hardest thing for her is knowing that she will soon fly into space, and her seven-year-old daughter Stella will be left alone. It was from the moment when Sara was chosen to be part of the team in the year-long mission called "Proxima", their relationship with their daughter ended up in some kind of chaos.
