Many, many years ago, in a distant, almost fairy-tale land, a teenage girl and her little brother went into a dark forest in the hope of finding food there and at least some kind of work that could feed them in the future. Their names are Hansel and Gretel. Of course, you know the fairy tale where the children found a magical sweet house. But this is a completely different story, because Gretel and Hansel found something really terrible. They were sheltered by an old woman who does not trust the girl. Read more The film takes its inspiration from the fairy tale of the same name by the Brothers Grimm. The project was directed by Oz Perkins, whose work in this role includes "Furious" (2015). The film starred: Sophia Lillis ("It" (2017), "It 2" (2019), the series "Sharp Objects"), Sammy Leakey (miniseries "MotherFatherSon"), Alice Krige ("Drunkenness" (1987), "Sharp's Honor" (1994), "Proofs of Mind" (2007)). The film will be released on January 30, 2020 on screens in the Netherlands.
