The Mountain

The events of the film unfold in the 1950s - the "golden age" of American male supremacy. A young introverted photographer joins a famous doctor, a specialist in lobotomy, on a promotional tour of a procedure that has come to be called ineffective and immoral. The photographer begins to identify with the patients of psychiatric clinics, falls in love with a rebellious young woman and gradually falls under the growing New Age movement.
