Balancing the Scales

Sharon Rowan combines 37 years of experience as a lawyer and 20 years as a film director to tell the story of women lawyers in America. In her groundbreaking film Balancing the Scales, Sharon interviewed five generations of the profession, including Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and renowned human rights activist Gloria Ellred, on the challenges facing women lawyers in the United States today. The tape was shown on national television channels in the United States in 2017. Sharon has shown a film speaking on gender equality in the legal profession to some of the world's largest firms and corporations, as well as national bar associations and national women's organizations, including the National Association of Women Lawyers, and at the National Bar Association's Harvard Summit on Keeping Women in the Profession.
