In the center of the plot is the famous professor, astrophysicist and ufologist Joseph Allen Hynek, who is asked to participate in the research of cases of UFO sightings by Air Force pilots and random eyewitnesses. In the course of the secret project, a thousand witnesses were interviewed, including soldiers, policemen, pilots and ordinary civilians who claimed to have observed unidentified objects. The project lasted until 1969 and, according to its participants, provided a lot of useful information about the existence of UFOs and recorded contacts, which were strictly classified. Each episode of the series tells about real facts taken from the archives of the CIA, is full of interesting theories of ufologists, and also ponders over interesting and incomprehensible questions.
