A young girl named Frances recently moved to Manhattan. While she doesn't have any acquaintances here, she stays away from everyone. But one incident changed a lot in her life. The girl found a purse in the subway that some Greta had forgotten. Frances decided to find her house and give her possessions, which she did. Greta is a little older than the girl, she has already managed to be married and widowed. It seems that they are completely different, but they were able to become friends.
