The terrorist attack in the Metropolitan Museum took the most precious thing from thirteen-year-old Theodore Dekker - his mother. And the boy himself only miraculously managed to survive in this hell. In a state of affect, Theodore took a priceless canvas from the museum - "The Goldfinch" by the Dutch artist Karel Fabricius. From this day on, he will keep this work of art as a reminder of the tragedy. His whole path will consist of people, creativity and loneliness. The project was directed by the famous Irish director John Crowley, whose credits include "Boy A" (2007) and "Brooklyn" (2015). The roles in the film were performed by: Ansel Elgort ("The Fault in Our Stars" (2014), "Kid on the Drive" (2017), the "Divergent" trilogy), Anairin Barnard ("We Conquer Manhattan" (2012), "Dunkirk" (2017), the series "White Queen"), Sarah Paulson ("Griffin and Phoenix: On the Edge of Happiness" (2006), "12 Years a Slave" (2013), "Blue Jay Cafe" (2016)). The premiere of the film will take place in September 2019 at the International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
