Kristina and Bohdan are an ideal married couple. He works in a bank, she is an accountant. They are both in their thirties, they are happy, prosperous, they are raising two children - five-year-old Maria and seven-year-old Ilya. They have a beautiful apartment. One Sunday morning, when Kristina is hired to clean the house, Bohdan takes the children to the park near the house. During the walk, Maria suddenly disappears.
