The Little Stranger

Dr. Faraday, the son of a maid, leads a quiet respectable life as a country doctor. One hot summer in 1947, he was called to see a patient in Hundreds Hall, where his mother once worked. The estate has been home to the Ayres family for over two centuries, but is now in a state of disrepair, and its inhabitants - mother, son and daughter - are haunted by something far more sinister than a dying way of life. When Faraday began treating a new patient, he had no idea how closely and how terribly this family's history was connected to his own past.
