2017 12+ Denmark
7.6 90 min. Simon Lereng Vilmont

Filmed on the front line, in Eastern Ukraine, the film follows the life of 10-year-old Oleg, recording how the boy's childhood innocence is gradually eroded by the war. Oleg lives with his beloved grandmother Oleksandra in a small house in the village of Hnutove in Donetsk region. Having nowhere to go, Oleg and Oleksandra stay at home, in an almost deserted village. They remain the only true constants in life for each other. The film shows how vulnerable but very close relationships become crucial for survival. How a child's natural struggle to learn about the world is intertwined with the dangers and challenges that war brings.
