Journalist Porter Wren works in one of the New York tabloids. He has an incredible appetite for scandals, he sells murders, tragedies and nothing that can be considered true. On the other hand, at home, Porter is an exemplary family man, devoted to his beautiful wife and raising wonderful children. One day, a seductive stranger asks him to investigate the mysterious murder of her husband, the film director Simon.
