Barbara Thorson is an almost ordinary twelve-year-old teenage girl. She runs away from the terrible realities of school, misunderstanding from peers and problems in the family to the magical land of giants. She is the only person in the world who can save humanity from these monsters. School psychologist Molly is looking for all kinds of ways to understand Barbara's thoughts. Only her new friend Sofia, who recently moved to a neighboring house, understands the girl. All other people do not perceive Barbara's stories as real, considering them the fruit of a schoolgirl's fantasy. The girl must defeat the monsters and face her fears.
