Seventeen-year-old Michael O'Donnell had it all - he was the sports star of his school, a scholarship student, an excellent student, and he had a bright future ahead of him. But for the sake of love, he left everything and moved in with his girlfriend Scarlett. A quarter of a century later, the not-so-young Michael finds himself in front of a broken trough - his wife hates him, his children can't stand him, and in general, his whole life has gone under the cat's tail. Looking back, Michael remembers how many opportunities he had and how he could have managed his life if he had known what his reckless act would lead to.
