The film "The Dancer" is a large-scale and detailed study of the life and creative path of the Ukrainian Serhii Polunin, collected from rare archival family materials, interviews with the hero, his relatives, as well as with world ballet stars. A unique chronology of the dancer's creative path — from the first steps in his native Kherson, studying in Kyiv, to a rapid and scandalous career at the Royal Ballet in London. In the focus of the famous documentary director Steve Cantor is Polunin's extraordinary physical data and his unique emotional range, which are manifested both on stage and in life.
