The plot of the film is based on real facts. The action of the film takes place in Poland in the second half of the 1940s, and its heroes are members of the armed national liberation underground, who compete with the authorities of the Polish People's Republic for the image of post-war Poland. Despite the significant superiority of the security services, which were supported by the Soviet NKVD, they fought to the end for their cause.
