Two friends, eighteen-year-old Kaska and Magda, are graduating from the film school. In addition to entertainment and enjoyment of life, they must find time to prepare for the final exam. Their task is to prepare a film sketch. When the teacher offers them a topic, at first they rebel against it. They wanted to make a film about issues important to society, about modern problems, they wanted to change the world, and then they came across the story of a village girl who allowed herself to be killed in such a senseless way, and which happened 100 years ago. They reluctantly set off on the road to Zabava, where their heroine Karolina Kuzkuvna lived and died. At first they cannot grasp the story of her life. Why did the young girl let herself be killed? In the name of what values? What drove her? Where did she get her strength from? And why did God allow this? The search for answers to all these questions causes their school work to gradually turn into an exciting adventure, and Carolina's story suddenly begins to affect their lives and the other characters of the film.
