The viewer will see festival films from Polish directors. From October 5 to 18, in six cities of Ukraine - Kyiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Lutsk - seven full-length Polish films will be presented, which have already won awards at prestigious international festivals, recognition of the audience and world film critics. The Polish Film Week will open in Kyiv with a film story about the publication of the book "The Art of Love" by Michalina Wislocka - a peculiar story of the sexual revolution in the Polish version (director - Maria Sadowska). Another biographical drama Days will be dedicated to the outstanding Polish scientist Maria Sklodowska-Curie (director – Marie Noel). This year, the Ukrainian audience will have the opportunity to see films of a wide variety of genres - Mitya Okorn's romantic comedy "Lonely Planet" and Marcin Koshalka's thriller "The Red Spider". For the first time in recent years, the children's film "Behind the Blue Door" (directed by Mariusz Paley) will be shown at the festival. And the drama "New World", among several plot lines, will reveal the story of the Ukrainian emigrant Vera. The program also includes several bright film debuts - in particular, Jan P. Matushynskyi's debut feature film "The Last Family", which last year won the grand prix of the "Youth" festival. As part of the 12th Days of Polish Cinema in Odesa, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Andrzej Wajda School, a selection of well-known films by graduates of the Wajda School in recent years will be presented. And in Kyiv, the Polish Film Week will solemnly end with the documentary film "Piano" (2015) about the instrument that became one of the symbols of the Euromaidan. The film is presented by director Vita Maria Drygas. The festival is supported by the Polish Institute of Cinematography and the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
