The wizard Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, has been overthrown and banished from the city by his own brother Antonio - not without the help of the King of Naples, Alonzo - and is now on his way to an enchanted island. Together with him - the young daughter of the magician Miranda, his servant Caliban and the spirit of the air Ariel. To take revenge on the wrongdoers, Prospero, having opened the magic books secretly given to him by the nobleman, causes a storm at sea - just at the moment when his brother and the king return from the wedding of Alonzo's daughter. The ship sinks, the passengers who managed to escape end up on the island - including the son of the King of Naples, Ferdinand. There he meets Miranda, and the young people fall in love with each other...
