Fiona is a librarian in a small Canadian town who lives an ordinary life. But it destroys a letter sent by her 88-year-old aunt Martha from Paris. Fiona gathers her things as quickly as possible and gets on the first plane to the capital of France. Arriving in a foreign country and finding her relative's house, she realizes that she has disappeared. After a series of incredible and funny events in search of her aunt, Fiona meets Dom - a selfish but charismatic homeless man who is terribly bored.
