In 1238, Danylo together with his brother Vasylko attacked the border castle of one order. Having captured their master, he proposed an alliance on behalf of the order against the threat that is coming in waves from the east. Her name is Mongol-Tatars, who are led by the legendary Khan Baty. Danylo, as the prince of Volhynia-Halytskyi, has two options: war or a treaty. Realizing that the Mongol will not succeed by force of resistance, the man risks everything and goes to the enemy's lair to conclude a contract. At first glance, this venture is doomed to failure, and Baty can easily decapitate his guest, but how will it actually turn out... Even if Danylo survives, the biggest problem awaits him at home - the boyars who are looking for profit everywhere. The main team working on the film is 7 people; The medieval city of Holm was built (with the help of historians and architects, a unique complex of a medieval city in central Europe of the 12th-13th centuries was recreated); Decors and interiors of the 13th century are reproduced; A database of unique costumes (more than 200 sets) designed for the images of the film, which combined Eastern and Western cultures, was created. It is a mixture of two great civilizations of the Middle Ages: Roman Catholic Europe and Orthodox Byzantium; About 100 units of various weapons were ordered, which were reproduced by blacksmiths based on photographs of archaeologists' finds; Shoes for the film were ordered in the USA - from a company that serves such projects as: Vikings, Marco Polo, etc.; The film "King Danylo" will be the first large-scale product produced on the territory of Western Ukraine. That is, 90% of all shooting processes, production and post-production take place in Lviv region. Geography of the film: from the Vatican to Astrakhan (modern); During the shooting process, a number of actors were replaced, in particular the actor of the main role, King Danylo. At the moment, the role of King Danylo is performed by Serhiy Yarmoshenko, an actor and professional stuntman with experience in foreign projects. All fights and stunts are done by himself; Actors for the project were chosen not for their star status, but for the appropriateness of the created image, taking into account their acting skills and 200% return on the set; More than 40 stuntmen work simultaneously in the film: for the first time in the years of independence, such a number of Ukrainian stuntmen worked on one site. Much attention is paid to action scenes.
