November 1941. London. Britain is occupied by the Nazis. Douglas Archer, a famous detective in London, investigates murders at Scotland Yard. Although now the authorities at Scotland Yard are different, Douglas is not tormented by remorse - someone has to catch murderers, and he does not get involved in politics. Until one morning, Douglas begins to investigate a mysterious murder, which will lead him to the British Resistance, and to the intelligence services of various states, and in the end - to very big politics.
