The film tells about the life of the great Indian ruler and teacher of humanity, Mahatma Gandhi. Beginning with his arrival in South Africa in 1893 and ending with post-war India, Gandhi always and everywhere preached only peaceful struggle, a peaceful response to any violence. And if at first it looked simply funny to many, then half a century later the world learned that a simple and at the same time great man led his country to complete independence from the English colonizers. A person who single-handedly changed the world, showing the way to millions.
