In the center of the drama are representatives of the new generation of the gangster clan - Don Corleone and his son, for whom there are no moral obstacles on the way to achieving their goals. They turn the mafia, built on patriarchal, still Sicilian laws, into a very pragmatic, tough corporation, smoothly integrated into the big business of America.
