The film "Sands. Knights of the sky "(director Kateryna Strelchenko, studio" 12th frame ") is a logical and eloquent continuation of its predecessor - the requiem film "Ilovaisk. Knights of the Sky", filmed by the same film crew and presented in Ukraine and Europe. Both films are about the difficult fates of volunteer fighters who went to fight for Ukraine first, leaving everything behind - families, business, education, peaceful life. The only difference is that Ilovaisk became an evil surprise that destroyed hundreds of lives in its cauldron almost in one day. And Pisky is the hottest point of the front, where Ukrainians were constantly fired upon, and in which, from July 2014 to August 2015, fighters of the first volunteer unit, the former Dnipro-1 battalion, heroically defended the approaches to Donetsk. You will not only see the confessions of relatives who are bored and cry for their parents and loved ones, but you will hear the confessions of brothers who fought side by side in Pisky and were at the legendary checkpoint "Republic of Bridges", and who saw with their own eyes the death of those who were still smiling and dreaming with them yesterday, who wanted to return and live on in a completely different country. Unfortunately, they did not return. And so that it does not hurt so much from the awareness of losses and the futility of death in war, it is worth continuing on our way, remembering the Knights who look at us from heaven and under whose watchful gaze we want to become better.
