Joyceline and Serge Clure are in trouble: the factory where they worked produced suits for Kenzo (the LVMH group) in Pois-du-Nor, near Valenciennes, but the production was moved to Poland. And so the couple was left without a job. They are mired in debt, and from now on they risk losing their house. At that moment, Francois Ruffen, the founder of the Fakir newspaper, knocks on their door. François is sure that he will save them.
